This Privacy Policy describes how Vindo collects, uses, and shares your personal data.

        Important Notice on Location: For safety and official timing purposes in sports events, this app utilizes background GPS tracking.
    

1. Data we collect

Account Information: Name, email, and photo (obtained via login with Google, Apple, or manual registration).
Event Information: Details of the events you create or participate in.
Technical Data: Device model, app version, IP address, and access logs.
Location Data (GPS): If you enable the tracking feature, we will collect your precise geographical position at regular intervals while monitoring is active, including when the app is in the background or the screen is off.
Contacts (Optional): If allowed, we access your contacts to make inviting friends easier (data is not stored permanently).

2. How we use your data

To allow you to create, manage, and participate in events.
Active Tracking: To enable real-time monitoring of your participation in regattas and sports events, ensuring safety and providing official data for the organization.
To send push notifications and important emails about your events (reminders, changes).
Remote Start/Stop: Tracking start and end times may be triggered remotely by event organizers, always with prior visual notice and a countdown on your device.
To authenticate your identity and prevent fraud.
To improve the app and fix technical issues.

3. Data Sharing

We respect your privacy. Your data is shared only in the following situations:

With event organizers: Your location data during the event is shared with the organization for safety and classification purposes.
With other users: Your name and photo appear on the attendee list of events you participate in, and your position may be displayed on the public event map if authorized by the organization.
With service providers: Companies that help us operate the app (e.g., AWS hosting, email delivery), under strict confidentiality agreements.
By legal obligation: When required by law or court order.

4. Retention and Deletion

We keep your data as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account at any time:

Via App: Menu Profile > Delete my account.
Via Website: Account Deletion Page.

Upon deletion, your personal data is removed, keeping only anonymized logs for a limited period (90 days) for security. Past event GPS data is anonymized.

5. Security

We use SSL/TLS encryption for all communications and store data on secure servers with restricted access.
